Make People Feel Loved Today

Make People Feel Loved Today was the theme of last night's #StoneSoupKitchen.

Women of the Moose Lockport 575 served a delicious dinner - Swedish meatballs over pasta, salad, fresh bread and yummy dessert.

Although we only had 18 guests, 5 of those faces were new, and that is always very exciting for us.

One face in particular was a gentleman that I had just met on Friday. He was panhandling when I stopped to talk to him. He asked me for money, and I politely declined.

But I did offer him friendship, and invited him to join us at the soup kitchen. I was so happy when he walked through the door!

Our Ronel sang a beautiful song that he wrote himself and delivered a simple message for the week. His words touched our new friend's heart, and as he was leaving for the night, he said we'd be hearing from him.

He called today and started asking questions about detox and rehab. Praise God! This is a fantastic first step!

We get to do it all over again next Saturday, and we hope that YOU join us.
