Addiction Support & Overdose PREVENTION
Our organization is equipped to provide overdose prevention supplies to those in need (Narcan/Naloxone). We also provide transportation to and from sober living, treatment and even detox. As true advocates for those battling addiction, we strive to be the momentum in an addict’s fight for recovery.
AlMOST HOME’S STORE
A free Store for our friends at Trinity Church in Oak Lawn. All the supplies our friends experiencing homelessness or hardships could need, and more. Our store also accepts donations of pantry items, household supplies, hygiene items, gas and food gift cards, as well as other necessities.
Blessings Boxes
Emergency food supply is made available through these stand alone mini food-pantries. We keep these boxes stocked with non-perishables.
BUS STOP MINISTRY
Bus Stop Lovin' - something we normally do on cold Friday nights - we leave some warm weather gear and a few other items in random bus shelters throughout the area.
Loaves & Fishes Closets
Often those entering halfway houses, sober living, treatment and rehab do so with only the clothes on their body. These “closets” offer personalized support to those friends while they are on their brave journey of recovery. We fulfill clothing and shoe needs upon request, and cannot accept clothing donations at this time.
Pending Meal Partnerships
There are restaurants who understand that those without the means to afford a warm meal, still deserve a warm meal. Our Pending Meals Program allows us to “Pre-Pay” for meals at partnering establishments and hand those meal cards out to our friends living on the street. Quick shout-out to our current long time Pending Meals Partner, Beggars Pizza!
Walk with me
One-on-one support for our un-sheltered friends. This could come in the form of providing necessities, food, shelter, friendship, transportation, or financial support. This program allows our director Jamie, the opportunity to build relationships with our local homeless population organically.
