Need another reason to celebrate with us?

Yesterday, 3/14 was also the official announcement of my role as Board President of Almost Home on year ago. Anyone else see the beautiful irony in my anniversary coinciding with the organization’s birthday? Very serendipitous.

And what a year it has been!!!

We implemented client and financial tracking software which has been instrumental in our ability to monitor performance and activity.

We established the “Share Your Heart Memorial” to foster healing and awareness for those we’ve lost to overdose.

We launched our merchandise store to create a long-term, sustainable donation stream.

We have quadrupled the tapped storage space when we added 7 shelving units last year. Could you imagine upstairs if we didn’t do that?!

We held multiple new drives and collections to help us maintain inventory as needed.

We increased our reach through a handful of radio interviews.

I have been very focused on really putting together comprehensive picture of the reach this organization has and the people we’re helping. And we’re only able to help because of people like you!! My celebration will be sharing charts and graphs and slides of our impact. I hope there’s some fellow nerds out there that’ll find a little joy with me.

From the bottom of my heart, I cannot express in adequate words the love I have felt this past year being a part of this team. In a world full of dread and tragedy, I find love around every corner with Almost Home. From the Board, our supporters and those we serve.

And for that, I am truly grateful.

I’d love to try to raise $365 today. Lofty goal, I know. But it aligns with one year AND it’s about the amount it’ll cost for one of our events being planned for June.
