Tomorrow!

****REMINDER: HERO'S OVERDOSE GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP AT ADDITIONAL LOCATION STARTING TOMORROW:

Our new Overdose Grief Support Group will have their first meeting on Tuesday October 26th @ Alive Church in Oak Lawn, IL (8844 S. Austin Ave) 7pm*****

The wave of overdoses happening in our communities due to the presence of Fentanyl is raising alarm bells for all of us working in Addiction Services. The bell hasn’t stopped ringing since the pandemic began.

If you have lost someone to #Overdose and would like to include them in our Share Your Heart Memorial, let’s remember each soul and the love you have for them.

Submissions are taken all month long and collected for reading at our monthly Board Meetings.

HERO will be adding a new location for GRIEF SUPPORT starting Tuesday October 26th at 7pm in Oak Lawn, IL.

We currently meet every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month in New Lenox, but in an effort to help more people in other communities, we will be having our support group meet every 4th Tuesday of the month at Alive Church in Oak Lawn, IL (8844 S. Austin Ave).

Having lost a brother to an overdose in 2009, I realized early on in my grief that I struggled to accept and cope with the monumental loss my family suffered. I found that not many people truly understood my feelings and all the unanswered questions I had lingering. At grief support group meetings, you are met by understanding, support, and no judgement.

HERO's Grief Support Group is led by a licensed counselor to help you through the grieving process. There is also no charge and this is an open meeting.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please call us at (708) 557-8394, www.theherofoundation.org, www.facebook.com/beaherotoo
